About me

Hi, I’m Lilly Goode, a student at New College of Florida. I made this site to look at a question I find interesting in volleyball: what happens when a team loses the first set?

Data source

I used ncaa_volleyball_matches.csv for the comeback analysis. It includes NCAA teams, conferences, scores, number of sets, and whether a team came back after losing the first set. The attack comparison uses vb_matches.csv, which has match-level volleyball statistics. The data files and analysis code are in the project repository, and the NCAA volleyball site has more information about Division I volleyball.
